CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) refers to computer software that is used to both design and manufacture products. CAD/CAM applications are used to both design a product and program manufacturing processes, specifically, CNC machining. CAD/CAM laboratory IIITDM Jabalpur was established on Jan 2014. The mission is to provide quality education and research with a focus on programming skill and logical thinking development among students. CAD/CAM lab is 2 located near allahabad bank having area of 120 m2.The Lab is managed by research scholars under the supervision of lab incharge. Lab is equipped with CNC machines, 3D -printer, modelling & analysis packages LCD mounted projector, laser printer.


ME discipline offers B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech Programs in Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Design Engineering and Manufacturing. The discipline also offers PhD in major thrust areas viz. CAD of thermal aspects, Design Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Robotics & Automation, Additive Manufacturing, Knowledge base system, Biomedical. The discipline has highly qualified faculty members, state of art laboratories and infrastructures. Continuing education programs and customized training/ workshops are being organized for industry personnel on regular basis. Students are actively involved in various extracurricular activities and extension activities.


IIITDM Jabalpur was established MHRD Govt. of India in 2005 with a focus on education and research in IT enabled Design and Manufacturing. The Institute offers undergraduate, post graduate and PhD programmes in Computer Science and Engineering,Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design and PhD programmes in Mathematics and Physics.Under IIIT act, the Institute has been declared an Institute of National Importance in January 2015.The Institute campus is being developed on 250 acres of land close to Dumna Airport, Jabalpur. The campus also includes three hostels. The Institute also has its own cricket, football, volleyball, basketball ground, badminton court and tennis court.
